The Madison IAQ-1X has powerful fans draw in air filled with bacteria, viruses and other pathogens at the bottom of the unit. Air passes through the patented “termination chamber” which houses three high intensity UVC lights that have been proven to inactivate viruses, bacteria, fungi and mold by damaging their genetic structure. Purified air exits the top of the unit.

The Madison IAQ-1X® patented “termination chamber” forces air to swirl closely around the three high intensity germicidal UVC bulbs for an extended period to maximize its inactivation rate. Its UVC lights’ 254 nm wavelength is optimal for destroying a wide range of pathogens including coronaviruses, influenza, pneumonia, MRSA, and more. Testing in EPA and FDA certified laboratories has proven 99.9% effective in the destruction of harmful viruses, bacteria, molds, and fungi.
