INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS AND HEATING AND AIR

IntelliHVAC is an advanced control system that integrates proprietary fan and compressor timing controls. It is equipped with dual microprocessors that manage communication across the entire unit while continuously monitors system components to optimize timing sequences for enhanced operational efficiency. These sequences include a variable blower fan run-time mechanism that aligns fan operation with compressor run-time, capturing additional latent energy from the coil. Additionally, the compressor timing function minimizes unnecessary run-time when the coil is fully energized, further improving efficiency.

IntelliHVAC is a sophisticated technology designed to enhance the efficiency of HVAC systems.
It works by integrating a dual microprocessor retrofit into most existing central air HVAC systems. This technology includes both variable post-purge fan control and compressor cycle functions, which work together to create a more efficient operational environment within the system.

The variable post-purge fan control ensures that the fan continues to run for a short period after the compressor cycles off, utilizing the residual cooling or heating energy in the system.
This helps to maintain the desired temperature more efficiently.
The compressor cycle function optimizes the relationship between the fan and compressor, reducing the number of compressor cycles and thereby decreasing energy consumption and wear on the equipment.

By operating in both heating and cooling modes, IntelliHVAC can deliver energy savings ranging from 10% to 30%, depending on season. Additionally, it reduces compressor run-time by 15%, which translates to lower maintenance costs and extended equipment lifespan. This technology is a valuable addition to any HVAC system, providing significant energy savings and improved performance.

In more detail, the variable fan timing (post-purge) function adjusts the blower fan (air handler) run-time based on the system's run-time duration. The longer the system operates to reach the setpoint, the more energy is generated. Consequently, the fan will run longer to capture and utilize that energy from the coil efficiently. This ensures all energy is captured leaving none on the coil to dissipate and be lost.

By optimizing fan tun-time, we ensure the systems gets all the fan it needs and none of what it doesn’t. It also serves to maintain setpoint for a longer period which delays the next time the system needs to turn on.
